In a surprising partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized statement, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also adds the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
