The world's beloved pizza-loving superheroes are arriving to the popular trading card game. The well-known trading card game's company, the game's creators, unveiled a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration at a special event hosted at NYCC. Is this a radical new set or simply another Universes Beyond cash grab? Let you decide.

Take a look below at everything announced from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, along with some useful context. All items listed here launches on March 6th, 2026, with one exception — the Pizza Bundle drops a couple of weeks after on March 27th.

Magic x TMNT: Core Set Reveals

Before diving into all the various unique products and bundles on offer, let’s take a look at all the cards from the core Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set that were revealed by Wizards. Standard booster packs for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while Collector Boosters are priced at $37.99 per booster.

Let's unpack a few surprising features. To begin, there's a new mechanic called Sneak Attack, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu ability, in which gamers can play big creatures onto the battlefield whenever an attacking creature goes unblocked. The key change here is that Sneak can apply to spells that aren’t creatures too. The designers also took the opportunity to refine the ability a bit (Sneak counts as playing a spell, unlike Ninjutsu). Ninjutsu is staying, but it's more likely players will encounter Sneak in upcoming expansions from now on.

Should we go back to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu since that's where it originated and it is iconic of that world,” an experienced designer explained. “However on other planes, because the rules are cleaner and the new ability is what's going to be in standard, it’s probable that we'd use the updated version.”

That second variant of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai, is among four special cards with special art created specifically for the expansion by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original artist Kevin Eastman.

Additionally, if you're shocked by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which allows playing cards that aren't in your main deck, so was I. But according to Wizards, it’s now a legal card in every format of Magic.

Anyway, below are the extremely bizarre full-art lands from this set:

Following Wizards of the Coast's existing guidelines, all these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers say they took care to make sure the cards and mechanics worked smoothly with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities.

“I headed the development for 15 months and we were aware it would be in standard and which sets would be alongside it in standard,” the designer commented. “We designed to make sure that they work well with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.”

As an instance, each of TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a Izzet strategy built around artifacts.

“They mesh together to provide the components for a fun Standard deck,” the designer says.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!

After declining to create any pre-constructed Commander decks for the Spider-Man set and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender expansions, the company is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it includes six distinct legendary cards that can serve as your commander based on how you pair them (five of the cards have a special partner ability called “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command area rather than just one). Check them out for yourself:

The Turtle Power deck is set at $69.99, although the price may rise based on demand. Wizards told that it includes 43 new cards in total, which translates to an extra thirty-seven TMNT-themed game cards besides the six legendary commanders pictured earlier. (Calculating roughly, this suggests approximately 20 reprints if we assume the deck includes 37 land cards.)

What will the TMNT version of the iconic Sol Ring look like? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Standard Bundle (Standard Edition)

As per usual, Wizards is offering a bundle. This one costs $69.99 and contains the following:

  • Nine Standard Boosters
  • Fifteen Foil land cards
  • 15 Regular land cards
  • 2 Reference cards
  • 1 Traditional foil promotional card
  • One Large life tracker
  • One Card-storage box

Pizza Bundle

This is a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, primarily because it is packaged in what looks like a pizza box. Each pizza-themed bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the items below:

  • 9 Standard Boosters
  • 1 Premium Booster
  • Twenty-five Non-foil pizza-themed lands
  • 5 Traditional foil pizza-themed lands
  • 2 Foil pizza bundle promo cards
  • Two Reference cards
  • 1 Large spindown life counter
  • One Card-storage box

For those curious what a “Pizza Bundle promo card” is, it’s basically a reprint of an older card featuring all-new Turtle-themed art. Wizards showed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual depicting Splinter sprinkling toppings on a pizza. In total, there are six different Pizza Bundle promo cards available.

The Pizza Bundle releases a few weeks after the core set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This unique product is designed for a four-player draft and is priced at $119.99. It includes:

  • 10 Regular double-sided tokens
  • 1 Draft insert (a single-page instruction sheet to drafting the set)

Turtle Team-Up

Lastly, the developers are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its continued initiative to create Magic products specifically for beginners. Here, Turtle Team-Up is a unique product of prebuilt decks that let you and a friend team up to face a “Boss” deck that pilots itself.

The general idea is that each Boss card gives special abilities to the creature cards contained in the boss deck. The Boss automatically plays an additional card each turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
