An American-Palestinian adolescent who spent a nine-month period in Israeli detention without being charged gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 during his detention in February throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing from his Florida home under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.

The US state department applauded the teenager's freedom.

Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

They said he is showing signs of malnutrition, and is suffering from conditions acquired while detained.

In a statement, Mohammed's uncle spoke of the family's "immense relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"Right now, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare necessary for his recovery following exposure to Israel's abuse and brutal treatment throughout his detention."

American authorities announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance to the teenager's relatives.

{"US government authorities has no higher priority to ensuring the safety of US citizens"," the department emphasized.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers submitted a formal letter to US authorities and President Donald Trump, requesting additional efforts to release him.

Mr Ibrahim, a father-of-four managing a frozen treats business based in Tampa, previously claimed his child admitted guilt about rock throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.

There were no visits or communicated with his son since February, learning information solely regarding the treatment in detention through court documents.

The teenager remained without charge at Ofer detention facility on the West Bank.

The facility also contains grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences and murder.

Approximately 350 Palestinian child security detainees detained within Israeli facilities, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Numerous remain uncharged along with monitoring agencies, including UN bodies, report instances of mistreatment and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, Mr Kadur said they would maintain their efforts for justice for his cousin Sayfollah Musallet.

The dual national youth per medical officials died from beating by settlement residents during a confrontation last July.

At the time, the Israeli military said they were examining information regarding a civilian had died.

Both young men were employed together in the family ice cream shop based in Florida.

No one has been charged for the cousin's murder.

"We expect United States leadership to ensure our family's safety," family representatives emphasized.
